Associate Project Director
The Best Practices Team in the Department of Early Childhood and Elementary Education at Georgia State University is dedicated to empowering Georgia's Birth-5 educators by providing high-quality, hands-on training that is developmentally appropriate and easy to implement. Our goal is to inspire teachers and invest in children by ensuring that educators have the skills and resources needed to teach effectively. Best Practices trains thousands of teachers per year and has been empowering teachers since 1996.

The Department is seeking a dedicated and experienced Associate Project Director.

Here Is What You Will Do
- Research and Development:
Develops content-specific training for B-5 programs based on the contract requirements. This includes background research of the content area, developing presentations and handouts, and creating manuals and supplemental materials. Develops developmentally appropriate hands-on activities and resources for training. - Conduct Training Travels and independently conducts training for B-5 Lead and Assistant teachers and administrators.
- Supervision:
Supervises all trainers in the field. Attends training, provides written feedback. Keeps trainers updated on policy changes and the implementation of the Pre-K program. Provides feedback to all trainers on the development of presentations, handouts, and supplemental materials. - Special Projects:
Supervises special projects, assigns trainers, and coordinates with the Project Coordinator on deadlines. - Collaborate:
Communicates with the team at DECAL about trainings and assists trainers with the training calendar. - Other Duties:
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a related field and four years of related experience; or a combination of education and experience in related fields. - Preferred Hiring
Qualifications:
Experience with Georgia Pre-K, early childhood education, adult training, and sponsored funding.
