POSITION TITLE: Instructional Assistant

DURATION: Full Time

LOCATION: Atlanta, GA

COMPENSATION: $21/hour

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Assist the Technical Instructor in conducting technical training using the approved curriculum covering hardware, software, networking, and other IT topics.
  • Facilitate classroom sessions in an interactive, hands‑on style; consult with the instructor to review materials, videos, or support before delivering lessons.
  • Form and lead study groups; determine topics in collaboration with instructors and learners.
  • Help plan daily activities, gather tools, and conduct labs when the instructor is absent.
  • Ensure loaned equipment is returned and manage equipment logs.
  • Use the in‑house Learning Management System for assignments, tests, performance monitoring, and data entry for attendance/grades.
  • Confirm that class sizes (15‑30 learners) remain within program guidelines and monitor attendance, dress code, and program policies.
  • Provide ongoing feedback, recognize challenges, and collaborate with instructors and career coaches to improve learner success.
  • Participate in teacher progress meetings and staff meetings.
  • Enter real‑time learner data in Salesforce and/or Canvas.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO US:

  • Graduate of a Per Scholas Training Program.
  • Completed all certifications offered in the training course.
  • Ability to teach in a highly interactive and hands‑on style.
  • Passion for teaching, flexibility, teamwork, and strong communication.
  • Data‑driven, result‑oriented mindset; willingness to work in a fast‑paced environment.
