Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for its Adjunct Instructor (Avionics) position in the Industrial & Transportation Technologies department of the Academic & Student Affairs division. This position is located on Atlanta Technical College’s main campus, just south of Downtown Atlanta.
Responsibilities- Teach evening avionics classes.
- Prepare syllabus and other materials such as PowerPoint presentations used for classroom instruction and assist with curriculum development.
- Set up course (shells) in Blackboard.
- Manage classroom by logging attendance, reporting no‑shows, assigning and reporting grades in a timely manner; grade student assignments and submit final grades.
- Advise and counsel students, maintain appropriate advisement records, and assist with recruitment efforts.
- Attend department and other meetings associated with the avionics program as requested.
- Maintain professional qualifications as appropriate for the field and as described by the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) Policy Manual.
- Follow rules and regulations as described by the TCSG Policy Manual and other policies and procedures established by the institution.
- Support the mission and vision of the college, program and TCSG.
- Perform other program‑related duties as assigned.
- Associate’s degree or higher in Avionics or Electronics from an accredited college or university.
- Demonstrated FCC or CET licenses.
- Post‑secondary teaching experience is a plus.
- Must possess a positive attitude, excellent oral and written communication skills, well‑developed interpersonal and organizational skills.
