The Best Practices Team in the Department of Early Childhood and Elementary Education at Georgia State University is dedicated to empowering Georgia's Birth-5 educators by providing high-quality, hands‑on training that is developmentally appropriate and easy to implement. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Associate Project Director

The essential duties and responsibilities of the Associate Project Director are the following:
Research and Development- Develop content‑specific training for B-5 programs based on the contract requirements. This includes background research of the content area, developing presentations and handouts, and creating manuals and supplemental materials. Develop developmentally appropriate hands‑on activities and resources for training.
- Travel and independently conduct training for B-5 Lead and Assistant teachers and administrators.
- Supervise all trainers in the field. Attend training, provide written feedback, keep trainers updated on policy changes and the implementation of the Pre‑K program. Provide feedback to all trainers on the development of presentations, handouts, and supplemental materials.
- Supervise special projects, assign trainers, and coordinate with the Project Coordinator on deadlines.
- Communicate with the team at DECAL about trainings and assist trainers with the training calendar.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and four years of related experience; or a combination of education and experience in related fields.
Qualifications:
- Experience with Georgia Pre‑K, early childhood education, adult training, and sponsored funding.
