Position

Description:

Limited-term instructor positions are non-tenure track, term-to-term appointments renewable up to four semesters.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing 18 semester hours of instruction per semester.
  • Maintaining at least 8 office hours per week.
  • Working effectively, collaboratively, and professionally with faculty, staff and students.
  • Connecting students with institutional resources to promote student success and progression.
Required Experience / Education

Required Experience: Applicants should hold a Master’s degree (completed by date of appointment) with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours or 27 graduate quarter hours in Spanish.

Preferred Qualifications / Experience

Experience teaching elementary and intermediate college level Spanish courses.

Salary

$21,216 per semester with Master’s Degree and $23,791 per semester with Doctorate in Spanish

Job Duties

Description of Job Duty: In addition to 18 credit hours teaching, the instructor is expected to complete, in a timely manner, all forms and trainings required by the college and university including but not limited to: grading, grade posting, email replies to students/faculty/staff, course assessment, security trainings, and syllabi posting.
