Position Title

Part‑Time MUSIC Instructor – Singing Voice Instructor (Part‑Time Faculty)

Position Description

Perimeter College seeks a part‑time singing voice instructor to teach applied voice lesson courses for Music Pathway students on the Clarkston campus, beginning in the fall semester of 2025. The instructor will guide singers with little or no classical background in developing their classical singing technique. Experience with singing technique in other genres is a plus. The posting also welcomes applicants for other music instruction needs that may arise during the 2025‑26 academic year.

Required Education
  • Minimum of a master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) in the teaching discipline.
Preferred Qualifications / Experience
  • Teaching experience preferred, especially in a two‑year college environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to teach MUSIC courses at the collegiate level.
  • Ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods.
  • Ability to relate to a diverse student population and facilitate student learning.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology.

Work Hours

The position may require non‑standard hours, including day, evening, online, hybrid, weekend, and/or other campus locations.

Salary

$3,075.00 for each 3‑semester credit hour course taught.
