Part-Time Violin/Viola Music Instructor
Position OverviewPerimeter College is seeking a part‑time violin/viola instructor to teach applied violin and viola lessons beginning in the spring 2026 semester.
Responsibilities- Teach applied violin and viola at the collegiate level.
- Use a variety of teaching methods to facilitate student learning.
- Communicate effectively with students and colleagues.
- Maintain excellent organizational and instructional skills.
- Implement instructional technology as required.

Required EducationApplicants must have a minimum of a master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) in violin or viola performance or pedagogy.
Preferred Qualifications / ExperienceTeaching experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Ability to teach applied violin and viola at the collegiate level.
- Ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods and facilitate student learning.
- Effective communication skills needed.
- Excellent organization and teaching skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology required.

Work HoursPosition may require non‑standard hours, including day, evening, online, hybrid, weekend, and/or other campus locations.
Salary$3,075.00 for each 3‑semester credit hour course taught.
