Job Summary
The School-Wide Support Teacher serves as a permanent, full-time teacher and valued instructional partner dedicated to ensuring uninterrupted, high-quality teaching and learning across the school. This position is compensated on the Teacher Salary Scale and is considered an integral member of the instructional staff. [Working Title]s are fully embedded within their assigned campus, building strong relationships with scholars, families, and staff while providing consistent, high-quality instruction throughout the school year.
The School-Wide Support Teacher provides classroom coverage during teacher absences while also serving as a strategic instructional resource during periods of low staff absences. This role requires the ability to confidently teach across multiple grade levels, subject areas, and diverse learning environments, ensuring scholars receive rigorous, engaging, standards-aligned instruction regardless of the classroom assignment. In addition to leading classrooms, they may facilitate small-group interventions, co-teach alongside classroom teachers, support assessment administration, analyze scholar data to inform instruction, and provide targeted academic and operational support that advances scholar achievement and strengthens school-wide instructional excellence.
This position is designed for high-performing educators who have demonstrated a proven track record of delivering exceptional instruction and accelerating scholar achievement. Successful candidates consistently exemplify rigorous, engaging, and data-driven instructional practices, establish strong classroom cultures grounded in high expectations, and skillfully differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners. They possess outstanding classroom management, quickly build trust and credibility with scholars and colleagues, and maintain continuity of learning in any instructional setting.
QualificationsRequired:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Georgia teaching certification required
- A minimum of two years of teaching experience in an underserved community (preferred)
- Demonstrate a proven track record of creating a joyful and academically excellent classroom, or demonstrate a willingness to learn how to
- Pass a criminal background check
