The Apprenticeship & Training Coordinator assists with the administration, coordination, and compliance of apprenticeship and training programs. This role ensures learners receive high‑quality instruction while maintaining strong employer partnerships and accurate program documentation.

  • Assist with the coordination of all training activities, including scheduling, CMS updates, and instructor support.
  • Assure that certifications and training records are issued to students on a timely basis in accordance with the course they are enrolled in.
  • Responsible for the accurate recordkeeping and documentation of apprenticeship and continuing education program hours.
  • Maintain contractor/student relationships and ensure training alignment with industry needs and assure quality of program delivery.
  • Prepare reports, maintain compliance documentation, and support audits.
  • Assists with the enrollment of students into the Continuing Education and the Apprenticeship programs of the IEC.
  • Provide ongoing support to students and resolve issues affecting progress.
  • Assists IEC Staff to plan and conduct special functions:
    Electrical Trade Show, SkillsUSA Expo, Apprentice Graduation Ceremonies, and others as required.
Qualifications

Experience in workforce development, training coordination, or apprenticeship administration.

  • Worked in an educational setting
  • Teaching or Counseling background
Required Skills
  • Basic understanding of office software, i.e. Google Suite, MS Office, and database software
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Works well with a team and independently
Preferred Skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with apprenticeship regulations and training systems.
Hours / Compensation
  • Salaried position based on experience; starting at $55,000
  • Afternoon / Evening Work hours. (Mon-Thurs: 10:00 am-6:30 pm; Fri: 8:00 am-4:30 pm)
  • 4% Match on 401(k) retirement after 1 year of employment
  • Health Benefits for the individual.
  • 16 Days of Paid Time off (PTO) per year (21 days at 5 years of service)
