Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics
The Department of Economics at Morehouse College invites applications for a visiting position in economics beginning in the Fall semester of 2026. Applications are open to candidates who have a M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in Economics and have a strong interest in statistics and quantitative analysis. The role requires strong analytical capability, effective communication, and engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
A research-based M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Economics from a full-time, accredited institution is required.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Instruction (for academic roles)
- Teach undergraduate courses in Economics (e.g. Statistics, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics).
- Demonstrate a commitment to high-quality teaching and student learning outcomes.
- Develop course materials and integrate technology into instruction.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
- Service and Institutional Contributions
- Provide service to the department, institution, and profession.
- Participate in committees, curriculum development, and program assessment activities.
- Support student development initiatives and departmental programs.
- Innovation and Creative Production Activities
- Conduct independent and collaborative research in Economics.
- Present research findings at conferences and professional meetings.
