Information

The Office of the Provost furthers Georgia Tech s academic mission, learning through teaching and research, by providing the leadership, support, and services that enable the personal and intellectual growth of students, faculty, staff, and the academic community. As the Institute s chief academic office, the Office of the Provost oversees academic policy, strategic initiatives, academic planning, faculty affairs, student success, and the stewardship of the Institute s academic enterprise.

The Office of the Provost partners with colleges, schools, academic and administrative units across Georgia Tech to advance institutional priorities, support academic excellence and innovation, and enhance the effectiveness of teaching, learning, and research. The office leads a wide range of strategic initiatives and provides operational, administrative, and programmatic support to ensure successful implementation of the Institute s academic mission.

This position is housed within the Senior Vice Provost for Academic and Business Operations unit, which provides strategic leadership and operational support across key academic and administrative functions within the Office of the Provost.

Job Summary

Coordinate and provide professional and administrative support for targeted programs and/or projects and unit initiatives. This position will interact on a regular basis with:
Faculty and staff. This position typically will advise and counsel:

Responsibilities
  • Plan, execute and provide assistance for meeting and event logistics and scheduling.
  • Establish schedules, oversee arrangements and provide logistics support for targeted programs and/or projects and unit initiatives.
  • Evaluate, assess and report on the feasibility and sustainability of potential programs, projects and initiatives.
  • Provide necessary support related to the identification and execution of adopted unit programs/projects and other unit initiatives.
  • Develop, arrange/coordinate meetings and project materials for distribution, as necessary.
  • Compile, organize and analyze data for use in reports for targeted programs/projects and other unit initiatives.
  • Monitor and update appropriate stakeholders of progress/milestones for program/project objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Required Qualifications

    Educational Requirements
    Technical Diploma, Associate s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
