Kelly Education is currently hiring Bus Monitors for the school year!
A Bus Monitor’s primary responsibility is toensure the safety and well-being of students while they are being transported on a school bus.
This involves assisting with boarding and exiting the bus, maintaining order and discipline, enforcing safety rules, and responding to incidents or emergencies.
They also act as a point of contact for students, parents, and school staff, communicating any issues or concerns.
Here’s a more detailed breakdown:
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Enforcement: Ensuring students follow safety rules like staying seated, keeping aisles clear, and using seatbelts.
- Student Supervision: Maintaining order and discipline among students on the bus, addressing misbehavior, and mediating disputes.
- Assistance with Loading/Unloading: Helping students, especially those with disabilities or special needs, onto and off the bus.
This may include operating lifts for wheelchairs and securing them properly. - Emergency Procedures: Participating in emergency drills, assisting with evacuations, and understanding how to operate emergency exits.

Minimum requirements:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years of age
