The Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology at Georgia State University invites applications for a tenure-tracking Assistant Professor position beginning August 2026. The primary area of expertise is in cybercrime and/or cybersecurity. The position is a 12‑month appointment with annual review, teaching responsibilities in in‑person, online, or blended/hybrid modalities, and the possibility of summer teaching.

This position is located on the Atlanta campus and requires in‑person, on‑campus work. The Andrew Young School maintains a flexible work environment.

• Teach undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral courses in criminal justice, criminology, and cybercrime/cybersecurity, including in‑person, online, or blended/hybrid modalities.
• Develop and deliver high‑quality teaching materials and assessments.
• Conduct original research in cybercrime or cybersecurity and publish in scholarly venues.
• Engage in service to the department, university, and the broader scholarly community, including participation in the Evidence‑Based Cybersecurity Research Group or related initiatives.

• Required
  
  Education:
  
  Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a substantively relevant field. ABDs may apply, but the degree must be in hand by the start of employment. A J.D. or DCJ alone is not sufficient.
• Preferred Qualifications: University teaching experience and a demonstrated record of research and publication.
