Position Overview Trinity School is looking for an inquisitive, nurturing, fun-loving, flexible, and creative person to fill the role of Extended Programs Teacher (After School Program Teacher). This person will not only embody the values of Trinity School, but also act as an ambassador of fun! The perfect candidate will be ready and willing to tackle whatever the day throws at them with energy and excitement.

A great attitude coupled with the ability to complete his/her responsibilities is key.
15-20 hours per week

Educational Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year of experience working in a childcare or camp environment
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree a plus

Essential Requirements, Duties, and Responsibilities:

  • Has a true passion for working with children in a recreational setting
  • Engages children in the daily recreational programming as provided by Core Curriculum Associate
  • Models appropriate behaviors to all growing minds
  • Possesses the ability to lead large groups of children between the ages of 3 and 12
  • Demonstrates a willingness to problem solve and relay any pertinent information (injuries, ailments, behavioral issues) to the Extended Programs Assistant Director
  • Communicates well with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Willingness to jump in where needed and collaborate with the rest of the Extended Programs team

This is an hourly nonexempt position, eligible for overtime, under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and does not qualify for benefits.

This position reports to the Extended Programs Assistant Director.

Work Hours
  • Generally, children attend Extended Programs from 12:30 to 6 PM Monday through Friday, following the Trinity School calendar. Some teachers may be required to come in prior to the children arriving. Schedule may vary depending on the needs of the Extended Programs and will be communicated by the Director of Extended Programs or the EP Core Supervisor.
  • When necessary, the employee must be flexible in the ability to work more than her/his regular daily or weekly schedule to complete duties.
