Position: School of Computing Instruction Chair (Lecturer-track)

Job Summary

The Chair of the School of Computing Instruction will lead the School’s academic program, oversee budget and administrative functions, and provide strategic vision for teaching and learning at the undergraduate level.

Location

Atlanta, GA

Responsibilities
  • Report to the Dean of the College of Computing and manage all academic, budgetary, fiscal, and personnel decisions for the School.
  • Lead all teaching components of the School at the undergraduate level.
  • Build collaborative and interdisciplinary relationships with other computing school chairs, College leaders, and external stakeholders.
  • Forge community engagement and industry partnerships to support educational goals.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to Georgia Tech core values.
Required Qualifications
  • Doctorate in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Senior academic or teaching faculty (equivalent or above) in a premier research university department.
  • Strong leadership and team‑building experience.
  • Experience with strategic planning and vision development.
  • Proficiency in fiscal management and administrative oversight.
  • Practical commitment to participative management and open decision‑making.
  • Dedication to the personal and educational enrichment of faculty, staff, and students.
  • A proven record of achieving external visibility and experience working with development.
