The Student Immigration Specialist administers all aspects of student and scholar visa programs, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and alignment with institutional priorities. Works collaboratively with, but not limited to, academic units, Human Resources, Enrollment Management, and the Office of General Counsel to support international enrollment and employment activities. Contributes to the development, integration, and implementation of policies and practices affecting visa-holding students and scholars.

Serves as a key point of contact for international students and scholars, academic advisors, HR partners, and representatives from Global HR. Acts as an official liaison between the Institute and federal agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Department of State. Provides expert guidance and advisement to international students and employees on immigration matters.

Process eligibility documents for nonimmigrant students and exchange visitor visa holders.

Provide ongoing support for mandatory compliance and reporting projects related to hosting nonimmigrant students and scholars.

Determine eligibility and process immigration-related benefits and requirements in designated immigration software systems.

Meet with international students and scholars to provide guidance and support related to immigration benefits, travel, status maintenance, and other related concerns.

Assist in developing and delivering informational sessions and cultural engagement programming for international students and scholars, as well as campus and affiliated units.
