Position: Campus Staff Minister - Emory University (Graduate & Faculty Ministry)

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Pursuing spiritual growth through engagement with Scripture, prayer, worship, and developing self-leadership.
  • Increasing the number, size, health, and influence of witnessing communities of students and faculty.
  • Communicating and modeling Inter Varsity’s vision and core values, including commitment to diverse ethnic and social groups.
  • Leading students and faculty through Scripture, prayer, teaching, and discipleship to align ministry activities with the vision.
  • Setting annual goals with teams for growth, conversions, and leadership development.
  • Creating and managing ministry plans, programs, teams, and structures to achieve goals.
  • Building leadership teams demonstrating spiritual vitality, relational health, and mission alignment.
  • Mobilizing students and faculty to engage their networks with the gospel and start new missional communities.
  • Supervising Ministry Interns as delegated by the Area Director.
  • Developing diverse groups of students and faculty to encounter and follow Jesus and advance the campus mission.
  • Equipping students and faculty to think strategically about campus engagement and proclaim the good news of Jesus.
  • Discipling students and faculty to grow in Christlikeness and ministry skills.
  • Inviting, coaching, and equipping students and faculty to become effective participants and leaders.
  • Collaborating with local, area, regional, and national Inter Varsity staff and volunteers to maintain biblical standards of excellence and partnership.
  • Partnering with supervisors and national leaders, contributing to team meetings and relationships.
  • Using national ministry resources and participating in conferences as required.
  • Completing reporting, planning, and review requirements timely.
  • Developing ministry partnership teams of churches, individuals, alumni, and community members to resource the ministry financially, in prayer, and volunteer service.
  • Raising 100% of the assigned financial budget.
  • Communicating regularly with ministry partners through visits, calls, emails, and prayer letters.
  • Identifying and investing in advocates to build volunteer and donor networks.
  • Complying with all Inter Varsity policies and procedures.
About You

The company is looking for:

  • Annual affirmation of Inter Varsity’s Statement of Agreement and adherence to its Code of Conduct and theological papers.
  • Bachelor’s degree for four-year campus assignments; minimum Associate’s degree for two-year or community college campuses.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to minister to diverse ethnic communities and faculty.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with word processing, presentation, email, and spreadsheet software.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary range: $44,016 to $58,680 per year, prorated for part-time work and dependent on fundraising ability.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements

The role involves leading ministry in a college campus environment with possible designated office space. Travel to on-campus and off-campus sites is required, including conferences, meetings, and training sessions. Regular communication and use of standard office equipment are expected.
