Department InformationThe School of Mathematics instruct students from across campus, including undergraduate and graduate students. Its faculty carry out research in a wide variety of Mathematical Sciences. They are key players in several cross-disciplinary institutes, centers, and programs at Georgia Tech, including PhD programs in Algorithms, Combinatorics, and Optimization (ACO), Computational Science and Engineering (CSE), Bioinformatics, Quantitative Bioscience (QBioS), and Machine Learning (ML@GT).
Job SummaryLead and assist school Chair and search committees in academic faculty affairs, including new hires, reappointments, promotions, tenure, leave and immigration petitions. This position will interact on a regular basis with:

- Job Duty 1 - Work with schools administration leadership to manage hiring, reappointment, promotion and tenure process for academic faculty.
- Job Duty 2 - Gather relevant information necessary to complete faculty hiring, promotion or critical review packets.
- Job Duty 3 - Review and manage packets via GT-TRACS.
- Job Duty 4 - Gather information required to initiate immigration petitions on behalf of the School including J1, H1B, Permanent Resident, and Visitor visas for academic faculty.
- Job Duty 5 - Maintain filing system and databases for the School's faculty files.
- Job Duty 6 - Coordinate faculty leave of absence requests, absence from campus, modified duties requests, Emeritus, and other activities via GT-TRACS.
- Job Duty 7 - Provide administrative support to the Schools search committee.
- Job Duty 8 - Perform other duties as assigned
Educational Requirements:
Technical Diploma, Associate's Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience:
Five to seven years of job-related experience

Bachelor's Degree

Pay Range: $27.50 - $31.50/hr.
