About the School of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the Georgia Institute of Technology The School of Chemistry and Biochemistry has vibrant undergraduate and graduate programs, with :420 undergraduate majors and 200 graduate students, and an extensive research portfolio. We take pride in our collegiality, high-quality instruction, and attention to student advisement. Our faculty, staff, and students participate in a range of dynamic and collaborative research programs and enjoy modern facilities located on a pleasant urban campus in the City of Atlanta, Georgia.

Job Summary

The School of Chemistry and Biochemistry ((Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).) at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia, invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions in Inorganic and Physical Chemistry. Applicants will be considered at all ranks. The search is open with respect to research areas within the broader disciplinary foci. The School is particularly excited to recruit individuals who could be instrumental in nucleating and expanding research excellence in critical fields within the Georgia Institute of Technology and in the region.

Unique opportunities are envisioned for programs in inorganic chemistry, including actinide science, radiochemistry, and solid-state and materials chemistry, and in physical chemistry, including soft matter, complex fluids, biophysical self-organization, nanophotonics, quantum materials, quantum and magnetic spectroscopy, attosecond dynamics, and non-equilibrium processes relating to condensed phase interfaces and surface science. Synergistic integration of AI/ML into experimental programs in either disciplinary area is attractive.
