Note:

This position requires a minimum of an Associate's Degree or higher degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or a closely related field.

• Facilitates quality, individualized early childhood education by implementing developmentally appropriate practices in an inclusive environment.
• Works as a team with the Center Manager and Education/Disabilities Specialists to plan and implement a variety of developmentally appropriate activities for children that enhance their growth and development, promote social competence, and ensure parental involvement in all aspects of the program.

• Must have knowledge, skills, and experiences needed to perform the assigned functions responsibly.
• Must be familiar with the ethnic background and culture of families in the program and be able to serve and effectively communicate, to the extent feasible, with children and families with no or limited English proficiency.
• Must possess training, experiences, and knowledge that include theories and principles of child growth and development, early childhood education, and family support.
• Must possess excellent communication skills.
• Must possess the ability to provide leadership and stability for program continuity.
• Must possess the ability to move/lift children up to age five (5).
• Must be at least eighteen years of age.
• Must pass a drug test.
• Must pass a background check.
• Must pass pre‑employment tests if applicable.
• Must have a current Georgia PDS Profile with credentials and career level listed.

An Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or higher degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or a closely related field of study.

On occasion, there may be a need to move or lift light articles. Must be able to lift children up to age five.
