KIPP Atlanta currently operates 9 schools including four primary schools, four middle schools and one high school, as well as KIPP Forward which supports scholars on their journey to a choice-filled life.

The School-Wide Support Teacher serves as a permanent, full-time teacher and valued instructional partner dedicated to ensuring uninterrupted, high-quality teaching and learning across the school. This position is compensated on the Teacher Salary Scale and is considered an integral member of the instructional staff. School-Wide Support Teachers are fully embedded within their assigned campus, building strong relationships with scholars, families, and staff while providing consistent, high-quality instruction throughout the school year.
The School-Wide Support Teacher provides classroom coverage during teacher absences while also serving as a strategic instructional resource during periods of low staff absences. This role requires the ability to confidently teach across multiple grade levels, subject areas, and diverse learning environments, ensuring scholars receive rigorous, engaging, standards-aligned instruction regardless of the classroom assignment. In addition to leading classrooms, they may facilitate small-group interventions, co-teach alongside classroom teachers, support assessment administration, analyze scholar data to inform instruction, and provide targeted academic and operational support that advances scholar achievement and strengthens school-wide instructional excellence.

ClassroomInstruction & Coverage (75%)
- Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction using teacher lesson plans.
- Maintain instructional continuity during teacher absences.
- Build positive learning environments that maximize instructional time.
- Implement classroom routines and behavior expectations consistent with school culture.
- Adapt instruction when appropriate while maintaining lesson integrity.
- Ensure scholars remain actively engaged throughout instruction.
- Communicate instructional notes and scholar progress to the classroom teacher.
- Facilitate small-group instruction and academic interventions.
- Provide literacy and mathematics support.
- Co-teach alongside classroom teachers.
- Assist with assessments and data collection.
- Reinforce instructional strategies developed by the Teaching & Learning team.
- Build positive relationships with scholars, families, and staff.
- Uphold school expectations and behavioral systems.
- Assist with arrival, dismissal, lunch, hallway, and other school duties.
- Participate in professional learning communities and staff meetings.
- Support campus initiatives and special events.
- Serve as a dependable instructional resource for school leadership.
- Participate in all required professional development.
- Engage in ongoing coaching and instructional feedback.
- Learn multiple grade levels and content areas.
- Demonstrate flexibility by supporting classrooms based on daily campus needs.

Required:
- Bachelor's degree required
- A minimum of two years of teaching experience in an underserved community (preferred)
