- Join Emory University’s growing undergraduate Film and Media program at an R1 research university
- Teach courses in the candidate’s area of expertise
- Teach media industry classes, including History of the American Media Industry, Introduction to Media Industries, and the Film and Media Management Concentration capstone course
- Potentially teach existing core curriculum courses, including American TV History
- Contribute to curriculum building
- Lead experiential learning opportunities, including the summer program in LA, Treks to LA and NYC, and site visits in Atlanta
- Mentor students interested in careers in the media industry
- Engage with alumni
- Develop and maintain a sustained scholarly research program
- A Ph.D. in Film & Media Studies or a related field at the time of appointment
- Evidence of a program of sustained scholarship and an active research agenda
- At least 2 years of successful teaching experience at the university level
