  • Teach courses in the candidate’s area of expertise
  • Teach media industry classes, including History of the American Media Industry, Introduction to Media Industries, and the Film and Media Management Concentration capstone course
  • Potentially teach existing core curriculum courses, including American TV History
  • Contribute to curriculum building
  • Lead experiential learning opportunities, including the summer program in LA, Treks to LA and NYC, and site visits in Atlanta
  • Mentor students interested in careers in the media industry

  • Develop and maintain a sustained scholarly research program
Requirements
  • A Ph.D. in Film & Media Studies or a related field at the time of appointment
  • Evidence of a program of sustained scholarship and an active research agenda
  • At least 2 years of successful teaching experience at the university level
  • Interest in contributing to a scholarly community that prioritizes equity and inclusion
