The Training Coach II is an experienced, field-based training professional responsible for delivering, coordinating, and supporting clinical and operational training programs within the assigned market. This role facilitates onboarding, classroom instruction, and in-center training activities to ensure Training Coach and Medical Assistant (MA) learners successfully transition from training to independent active support for Providers in the market.

As an individual contributor, the Training Coach II serves as an additional resource and subject matter expert for their market, who can cover MA shifts as needed. When working as an MA, the expectation is for this individual to provide support to the Providers, Radiologic Technologists, and patients through a variety of tasks, including but not limited to patient care management, organization, and communication.

While serving as an MA, individuals selected as a Training Coach II are expected to consistently lead by example and embody the highest standards of performance, professionalism, and accountability. Training Coach IIs serve as role models for their peers, demonstrating excellence in clinical workflows, operational processes, and team collaboration. They are expected to uphold and reinforce organizational expectations, model best practices, and help foster a culture of learning, engagement, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Education Required:

High school diploma or equivalent

Licenses/Certifications

Required:

Active clinical certification or license (MA, EMT, Paramedic, or LPN)
Required certifications (e.g., BLS)
Work Experience

Required:

2+ years of clinical experience in urgent care, outpatient, or similar clinical settings

Prior experience as a Training Coach, Preceptor, or equivalent role Experience using an Electronic Health Record (EHR)

Preferred Qualifications , Education, Licenses, Certifications, Experience, etc.:

Experience supporting onboarding and training programs

Prior experience as a Training Coach, Preceptor, or Super User Urgent care or multi-site clinic experience

Introductory experience facilitating training or coaching peers

Familiarity with Epic or eClinical Works Knowledge , Skills, and Abilities This role involves interaction and collaboration with other departments and requires excellent judgment and interpersonal skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.

Strong organizational, time management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Ability to maintain accurate training records, monitor learner progress, and communicate status, risks, and recommendations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, learning management systems (LMS), and other business technologies.

Demonstrated adaptability, professionalism, accountability, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
