We care about how the work gets done as much as what we build. Safety is built into every decision, and people look out for each other—speaking up, collaborating, and doing the right thing because it affects real lives.
You’ll work alongside teams solving complex challenges and turning ideas into solutions that perform in the real world—gaining hands‑on experience across projects, technologies, and disciplines.
Ownership shows up in how we work. We take responsibility for outcomes, follow through on commitments, and take pride in what we deliver. As a 100% employee‑owned company, employees share in the long‑term success we build together.
With flexible ways of working and meaningful development opportunities, you’ll build a career you can be proud to stand behind.
The OpportunityAs a BIM Coordinator, you will serve as a champion of VDDS for your assigned solution of Mission Critical. You will lead the Building Information Modeling (BIM) effort on a collection of projects, ensuring their successful execution from start to finish. You will also work closely with the BIM Leader and VDDS Missions Critical Solution Lead to interpret project scope, understand BIM budgets, and establish project objectives.
Your responsibilities will include preparing and distributing the BIM Project Execution Plan, initiating all required BIM setup activities, and overseeing and participating in the day‑to‑day activities of project BIM Technicians. You will consume concepts, ideas, sketches, and samples from the project engineering team and render complete and accurate systems in BIM models, working drawings, and/or other associated deliverables through the lifecycle of a project contract.
As a BIM Coordinator, you will also be a participant in mentoring and developing the professionals on our team. You will coordinate with project management and other VDDS team leaders to schedule, forecast, and delegate project tasks. Additionally, you will coordinate/deliver project milestone deliverables, perform project BIM peer review/QC activities, and coordinate with subconsultants.
You will also be responsible for utilizing virtual review tools and facilitating BIM presentations for internal and external clients as needed. Furthermore, you may participate in the development of best practices and continuous development initiatives both within and outside of the VDDS department.
Your role will report to a VDDS Solution Lead and have a matrix manager of a BIM Leader.

You will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
