The Opportunity

We are hiring a Hardware RF design Engineer to design, measure, and oversee 3rd party solutions for WLAN, CV2X and 5G radios. The role would focus also on de‑sense impacts of the designed radios as well as for regulatory and carrier certifications. As a key member of the team, you will be tasked with maintaining and validating Radio performance metrics, setting schedules, overseeing production and manufacturing and supporting RMAs from the field.

You will be collaborating with Antenna, Systems, device SW and cloud engineering team members who would support your efforts. The position requires you to be partly on‑site at our Engineering center in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Skillset
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer Science or Electrical Engineering

  • 1+ years of experience in RF and board design.

  • Familiarity with WLAN and or Cellular RF test equipment and supporting software.

  • Knowledge in how to perform RF Test equipment evaluation and down selection.

  • Ability to perform RF Characterization in OTA (anechoic) test chamber.

  • Experience with Test equipment such as Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Signal Generators, and Oscilloscopes.

  • Ability to perform processing, verifying, and analyzing measured data.

  • Able to produce clear, concise presentations and reports.

  • Developing custom tool sets to aid in data visualization.

  • Experience with PTCRB (CTIA) and FCC certification processes and testing.

  • Effective communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)

  • Excellent teamwork skills with proven ability to work with a cross‑functional team and drive for timely project success

  • Knowledge and experience with commercial connectivity devices to include Mobile and IoT devices

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge in wireless standards namely 802.11 and 5G

  • Experience with wireless products and general software stack of these products

  • Familiarity with databricks, Snowflakes or similar database software

The First 30 Days

  • Get familiar with Flock Safety Products and configurations

  • Provide KPI documents and high‑level RF design templates, desense test setups.

  • Define test cases, thresholds and targets.

  • High level design document for WLAN and 5G radio designs.

  • Perform testing for a cellular design.

The First 60 Days

  • Detailed design document and board schematics, fab‑out and testing.

90 Days & Beyond

  • Continue with supporting board design, test, validation, certification and transition to manufacturing.
