Overview
Join a fast-moving team at the forefront of clean energy innovation. We’re looking for a Power Electronics Firmware Engineer to design and develop firmware that powers advanced solar, battery storage, and EV charging technologies.
In this role, you’ll own the full firmware lifecycle from concept and prototyping to validation, certification, and production release. You’ll collaborate across hardware, firmware, and software teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions that shape the future of distributed energy.
Responsibilities- Architect and implement control firmware for power converters (DC/DC, DC/AC, battery charging).
- Lead firmware development through design, testing, integration, and deployment.
- Work hands-on with embedded platforms, DSPs, microcontrollers, and real-time control systems.
- Support compliance, certification, and product validation processes.
- B.S. in Electrical/Computer Engineering (M.S. preferred).
- Must have 5+ years of firmware development for power electronics in industrial, automotive, or utility-scale applications.
- Strong skills in embedded C/C++, RTOS, DSP/FPGA platforms, and hardware debugging.
- Familiarity with power converters, inverters, and communication protocols (CAN, Modbus, TCP/IP, etc.).
- Experience with MATLAB/Plecs, HIL systems, and grid-compliance standards is a plus.
