  • Design and oversee the fabrication of custom tooling and fixtures for repeatable and safe operations
  • Supervise large lifts, rigging activities, and integrated pressurized ground operations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve in-situ build issues; redline drawings and provide structured feedback to engineering
  • Improve and enforce shop-level procedures, 5S standards, and continuous process improvements
  • Support the development and documentation of early production processes
  • Foster a strong team culture focused on safety, quality, technical growth, and accountability
  • Approve timecards, manage PTO requests, and track team-level spend against project allocations
  • Travel as needed to support remote builds, testing, or hardware deliveries
Minimum Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a high-tempo aerospace or startup environment
  • 2+ years in a leadership or technical lead role, coordinating shop floor or technician teams
  • Proven success in transitioning flight hardware from prototype to production
  • Deep familiarity with structural integration practices including drilling, countersinking, fastener installation, and inspection
  • Experience with rigging, lifts, and ground support equipment (GSE) build and operations
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T; experience redlining documentation for accuracy and clarity
  • Proficiency with shop tools, safety standards, and operational best practices
  • Comfortable managing task schedules, team deliverables, and interdepartmental coordination
  • Strong communication skills and ability to foster team alignment and performance
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • A&P license strongly preferred
  • CAD/CAM familiarity and experience with digital build tracking tools
  • Sheet metal bending and fabrication experience
  • Prior experience developing and integrating complex systems (fluid, mechanical, or hybrid)
  • Ability to support offsite operations as needed
