Role DescriptionThis is a full-time remote role for an Associate Forensic Engineer based in or surrounding Atlanta area. The Associate Forensic Engineer will be responsible for conducting forensic engineering analysis, performing structural and damage assessments, developing accurate repair recommendations, and preparing detailed inspection reports. The role also includes evaluating failure analyses and providing expert insights for litigation or expert witness services if necessary.
This is a Client facing role that involves building and maintaining professional relationships.
- Experience in forensic analysis and forensic engineering is preferred but not mandatory
- Comfortable with field work with local travel, including day trips
- Must be capable of and comfortable climbing roofs, including steep-slope roofing systems
- Strong knowledge of Structural Engineering principles and practices
- Demonstrated expertise in Failure Analysis and applying Analytical Skills to assess causes and effects
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and interacting with clients, and attorneys
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural engineering, or other applicable field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Proficiency with industry-standard tools and software including AutoCAD
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex scenarios independently
- Experience in litigation support as an expert witness is a plus
- Must hold an FAA part 107 drone pilot's license or have the ability to obtain one within six months of employment
- Pass criminal background check and drug screen
