Overview

Technical Service Manager | Industrial Manufacturing & Power Transmission | Atlanta, GA

We’re supporting a global manufacturer of industrial power transmission and drive solutions in their search for a Technical Service Manager to lead their technical services function based in Atlanta, Georgia
.

This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced engineer who enjoys combining technical expertise, customer engagement, and team management. You’ll serve as the technical authority for complex applications while ensuring high-quality service delivery and strong customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage on-site and remote technical support teams, including training and skill development
  • Review and approve engineering drawings and design documentation for geared motor and drive solutions
  • Collaborate closely with global engineering teams on product modifications and improvements
  • Provide advanced application support, troubleshooting, and product recommendations to customers
  • Serve as the technical liaison between customers, manufacturing, and engineering teams
  • Support product testing, validation, and development initiatives
  • Assist with proposals, quotations, and technical pricing support in partnership with sales leadership
  • Investigate and resolve production and work-in-process issues
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, equipment utilization, and operational efficiency
  • Monitor operations for compliance with quality and safety standards
  • Evaluate supplier proposals for equipment and process enhancements
  • Deliver technical presentations and training sessions internally and externally
What they’re looking for
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering (required)
  • 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing, technical support, or industrial engineering environments
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, drive technology, and industrial equipment
  • Experience managing and developing technical teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
