Project Engineer, Commissioning - Data Center Facilities position with Ramboll in the Americas. Ramboll s Data Center Facilities team (formerly EYP Mission Critical Facilities) provides services for data centers worldwide, including strategy, planning, design, integration, commissioning and testing for enterprise, institutional, web-scale, service provider, and colocation clients. Our consultants help clients bring IT and facility components together to enable rapid deployment and meet critical objectives.

Responsibilities- Act as a commissioning agent of mechanical systems including cooling/heating systems, plumbing, fire, fuel oil, and BMS systems in various environments.
- Manage projects and plans, provide and gather specifications, and execute assignments in a multidisciplinary engineering commissioning role for large facility projects.
- Review design criteria, specifications, drawings, equipment submittals, and other commissioning documentation.
- Adhere to a thorough quality management/QC process that validates and documents client systems.
- Identify and assemble required documentation, drawings, and data from clients, vendors, and contractors.
- Develop site-specific commissioning plans and review/prepare factory witness test procedures for major equipment.
- Attend factory witness tests and provide detailed reports identifying deficiencies.
- Schedule and lead commissioning meetings with proper documentation.
- Develop and administer functional tests for various building mechanical systems, including cooling/heating, plumbing, fire, fuel oil, and BMS systems.
- Develop and maintain commissioning logs, equipment checklists, and other tools to track projects; write comprehensive final commissioning reports.
- Coordinate external resources; schedule and direct periodic commissioning meetings; attend construction and coordination meetings as required.
- Interface with clients, contractors, equipment vendors, and owners agents; interact with engineering, design, and other project facets; execute project assignments.
- Submit progress reports and commissioning meeting notes to the project and facility manager.
- Respond to customer inquiries in a manner that meets or exceeds expectations.
- Bachelor s degree or equivalent military or industrial training with 3+ years of experience in mechanical/controls engineering, energy services, plant operations, or related field or Construction Management.
- Previous Data Center/Mission Critical experience.
- Experience in commissioning or maintaining electrical and mechanical systems.
- Experience working with general contractors and strong communication of expectations.
- Knowledge of major regulations, industry codes and standards, and basic construction materials, means, and methods.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across U.S. geographic markets; the U.S. pay range for this position is $86,000 - $135,000 annually and does not include bonuses, overtime, or other forms of compensation or benefits. Pay within this range varies by work location and may depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
