Responsibilities- Provide hands-on support for messaging infrastructure applications and systems including MS-Exchange Server, Microsoft Teams, Office 365, Proofpoint mail gateway, SMTP relay, and related protocols.
- Assist in planning, design, and maintenance of messaging infrastructure; develop design documentation and enforce best practices; establish standards and policies for the email messaging system.
- Analyze and resolve end-user issues and deliver new technology capabilities related to the Messaging environment.
- Assist with planning and migration activities, including potential migration to a new Microsoft tenant.
- Support activities such as troubleshooting mail routing issues, Office 365 problems, and online meetings; participate in enterprise environment configurations and security practices.
- Seek an engineer with extensive hands-on experience with messaging infrastructure applications and systems, including MS-Exchange Server, Microsoft Teams, Office 365, Proofpoint Mail Gateway, SMTP relay, and related protocols.
- Support the analysis and migration efforts to a new Microsoft tenant as needed.
- MS-Exchange server, Microsoft Teams, Office 365, Proofpoint mail gateway, SMTP relay and related records/protocols are required.
- Practical experience in Active Directory, load balancing, reverse proxy, DNS, certificates, Power Shell scripting and related components.
- Excellent ability to troubleshoot, patch, and manage Windows servers; strong knowledge of GPOs and MFA integration with on-premises services/networks.
- Proven experience in enterprise environments; ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse, multi-location team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft O365, Proofpoint Email Filtering, or other SMTP gateway exchange servers; familiarity with mobile device management tools and server security vulnerability management.
- Knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery for Microsoft services.
- Must have ability to adapt to new technologies and changing requirements.
- Experience with Active Directory, load balancing, reverse proxy, DNS, certificates, and Power Shell scripting is required across multiple sections.
