Traffic Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and analytical Traffic Engineer to support the planning, analysis, and design of traffic and transportation systems. This role focuses on improving traffic operations, safety, and mobility for roadways, intersections, and multimodal facilities. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with engineers, planners, and public agencies.

• Conduct traffic impact studies, capacity analyses, and operational evaluations
• Perform traffic modeling and simulation using industry-standard software
• Design traffic control plans, signal timing, signing, and pavement markings
• Analyze crash data and develop safety improvement recommendations
• Prepare technical reports, exhibits, and presentations
• Coordinate with project teams, clients, and reviewing agencies
• Ensure designs comply with applicable local, state, and federal standards
• Support permitting, public meetings, and agency coordination as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• 2+ years of experience in traffic or transportation engineering
• Engineer in Training (EIT) required;
  Professional Engineer (PE) preferred or ability to obtain
• Knowledge of MUTCD, AASHTO, and applicable state DOT standards
• Proficiency with traffic engineering software such as Synchro, HCS, VISSIM, Trans Modeler, or similar
• Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills
