Job Description
Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Manager Hexagon Geosystems Technology, Inc.;
Norcross, GA:
Develop Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) practices and procedures to contribute to the growth of the company’s software platform. Lead and manage customer interactions through their full life cycle, from on-boarding to setting up the company’s software platform, to processing regular reality capture, to off-boarding and helping to create As-built Building Information Modeling (BIM) when their construction project is complete.
Manage, extract, and manipulate BIM in preparation for leveraging company's software, including adding metadata for 4D & 5D BIM analysis. Prepare custom reports based on company data and knowledge of BIM and construction processes using Power BI. Manage internal capture and process reality capture data from customers and external parties.
Supervises one (1) VDC Contractor.
Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the U.S.
Minimum requirements: Master of Science degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field., plus one (1) year of experience in the position offered, as a VDC Manager, BIM Application Specialist, Architect, or related occupation.
Desired Skills
Must have experience with the following:
- Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD;
- Modeling from 2D documents and creating up to Level 300 for structural, architectural, MEP and Civil;
- Field Layout and Modeling Techniques; and
- Managing and conducting laser scanning and reality capture processing techniques.
Skills may be gained through academic coursework and concurrently while pursuing academic studies.
Salary: $134,971 - $135,750 per year
