TK Elevator is currently seeking a motivated Sustainability Intern for our Summer 2026 Internship in Atlanta, GA.
Responsible for assisting the sustainability team with projects: ranging from fleet emissions reductions, to Scope 1-2, and 3 analysis, product development, competitive research and beyond. The North American Sustainability team manages all of North American carbon emissions and roadmap to reductions, so this role with support those functions often assisting in data calculations and analysis. Sustainability product certifications are also a critical part of the sustainability team's work and this role will assist with data entry and input for material transparency including Health Product Declarations, and Environmental Product Declarations.
Working with team to complete LEED documentation for projects with elevators.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
* Basic knowledge of sustainability
* Demonstrate an understanding of carbon emissions and related disclosures and sustainability standards such as:
Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) and Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). Coordinate the specific action plans required to achieve sustainability excellence within the building product space. (energy, fuel, mileage, emissions, etc.)
* Assist all sustainability data required by parent company (e.g. GEEP, quarterly carbon tracking, etc.) and prepare for annual audits, where needed.
* Data research and input on material transparency documentation including Health Product Declarations, and Environmental Product Declarations.
* Track and analyze sustainability, technology and innovation trends to identify growth and product opportunities. Competitive research and analysis on sustainable products.
* Reporting and tracking data in a variety of sustainability software and platforms (Resource Advisor, Power
BI).
* Supports sustainability activities such as zero waste, eco-efficiency, energy efficiency, and process efficiency initiatives.
* Respond to customer requests regarding compliance with LEED certification.
* Interface with real estate and fleet, teams to develop efficiency projects for carbon emissions reductions.
* Responsible for establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with internal and external groups
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree (in progress) in one of the following fields:
* Environmental Science or Environmental Studies
* Sustainability or Sustainable Business
* Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Environmental)
* Public Policy or Environmental Policy
* Business Administration with a focus on Sustainability or Corporate Responsibility
* Data Analytics or Statistics (with interest in sustainability applications)
* Geography or Urban Planning
* Natural Resource Management
* LEED Green Associate certification, preferred
* College coursework on sustainable business or sustainable products.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills to present data and product recommendations to engineering and marketing/sales management.
* Driven individual that can demonstrate
* Excellent proficiency using MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
* Exceptional time management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
