We are partnering with a global automation and machine-building organization specializing in advanced automated assembly and end-of-line test systems for automotive, medical, and advanced manufacturing industries. This is a senior level, hands on Controls Engineering role focused on designing and building custom automated equipment from concept through commissioning.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop PLC programs (Allen Bradley / Control Logix) for custom automated assembly and test systems
- Lead controls architecture and sequencing for new machine and production line builds
- Integrate robotics (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA) and vision systems into automated equipment
- Support system integration, debugging, FAT, SAT, and commissioning
- Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineering teams on custom equipment design
- Provide technical leadership on projects from concept through deployment
- 5+ years of Controls/Automation Engineering experience
- Strong experience programming Allen Bradley / Rockwell systems from scratch
- Background in discrete automation, automated assembly, or end-of-line test systems
- Experience with robotics and multi-station systems
- Commissioning and startup experience in customer environments
- Ability to work independently in a project-driven engineering environment
- Automotive, EV, or advanced manufacturing automation
- Multi-platform PLC exposure (Siemens, Beckhoff a plus)
- Experience in a systems integrator or machine builder environment
