Carlson Design Group is seeking a highly talented Structural Engineer I to join our engineering team as part of our expanding business. Carlson’s market focus includes Mission Critical, Light Industrial, and Commercial sectors.
Location: Atlanta, GA, and includes some travel.
Responsibilities- Lead development of design solutions on projects of limited complexity
- Prepare structural analyses and perform engineering calculations
- Support the Structural Team Lead on sophisticated projects
- Prepare schematic designs, Construction Documents, and specifications
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of Construction Documents
- Coordinate with other disciplines
- Review shop drawings and submittals
- Conduct field inspections and condition assessments
- Prepare technical reports
- BSCE in Structural Engineering from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 5 years of experience
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (RAM structural suite, preferred), AutoCAD, and Revit
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam
- Understanding of model codes
