As the Atlanta team continues to grow, EOLA Power is seeking a driven and technically strong UPS Field Service Engineer to support customers throughout the region.
Position SummaryThe UPS Field Service Engineer will be responsible for commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency support of UPS systems and related power electronics equipment at customer sites throughout the Atlanta territory.
This role is field-based and ideal for an engineer with 2–5 years of UPS or critical power experience who is looking to grow within a fast-expanding regional team.
Key Responsibilities- Perform commissioning activities including design reviews, test procedure development, documentation, and on-site system testing
- Conduct preventive maintenance, emergency service response, equipment startups, and field modifications
- Troubleshoot UPS systems and related equipment (UPS, batteries, PDUs, STS, etc.)
- Collaborate with technical support teams to resolve operational and maintenance issues
- Follow and help develop Methods of Procedures (MOPs)
- Prepare detailed and accurate Field Service Reports
- Provide proactive recommendations to improve system performance and reliability
- Maintain strong customer relationships through professional service delivery
- Utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency calls as required
- Travel regionally throughout Georgia and surrounding areas; occasional national travel may be required
- 2–5 years of UPS, power electronics, or critical power field service experience
- Experience troubleshooting UPS systems and related equipment
- Strong understanding of manufacturer specifications and electrical systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently from a home-based location
- Ability to meet physical job requirements, including bending and lifting up to 100 lbs when necessary
- Willingness to travel regionally and respond to emergency service calls
- Experience with major UPS manufacturers (Emerson/Liebert/Vertiv, APC/Schneider, Eaton/Powerware, etc.)
- Experience supporting data centers, healthcare facilities, or other mission-critical environments
- Technical degree or relevant electrical training
- Military electrical/mechanical background
