Job Summary

The Chief Engineer is responsible for overseeing all maintenance, repair, and technical operations related to facilities, equipment, and infrastructure during audit-related deployments or events. This role ensures a safe, functional, and efficient environment for guests, staff, and audit teams in both fixed and mobile locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all engineering and maintenance operations, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general facility upkeep during task force assignments
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain essential systems to ensure uninterrupted operations at temporary or travel-based work sites
  • Conduct routine inspections and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan
  • Ensure all engineering activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards
  • Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and property contacts for complex repairs or specialized services
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activity, incident reports, equipment usage, and inventory tracking
  • Provide hands‑on support during emergency situations or last‑minute issues, offering quick and safe resolutions
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineering or maintenance staff if applicable, ensuring adherence to safety and performance standards
Qualifications
  • Strong technical knowledge of facility systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical operations
  • Proven leadership and problem‑solving abilities in fast‑paced or mobile environments
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management skills
  • Proficiency in maintenance tools, systems, and software (placeholder: “familiarity with maintenance management systems”)
