Controls Engineer

We are seeking a talented Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team in Atlanta. This role is integral to developing innovative automation solutions that enhance operational efficiency from the plant floor to enterprise systems. You will utilize a diverse set of skills including PLC/PAC programming, HMI/SCADA design, network and database architecture, vision systems, and high-level software development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, program, debug, test, and commission real-time control and information solutions.
• Collaborate on concept development across all phases of the project lifecycle.
• Create detailed engineering documentation such as traceability matrices and project notes.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
• Develop methodologies for complex problem-solving and share best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of learning.

• HMI/SCADA: Beckhoff, Inductive Automation (Ignition)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience (10+ years).
• 1-3 years of hands-on experience with the technologies mentioned above.
• Strong proficiency in text-based programming and object-oriented design.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a capacity for developing new methodologies.
• Self-motivated with a strong ability to thrive in team environments and pursue learning opportunities.
• Detail-oriented, conscientious, and able to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
