The Senior Electrical Engineer will work within a consulting engineering and project management context, collaborating with the business development team and discipline leads to develop technical proposals and support marketing/business development efforts. The role offers opportunities to mentor a dedicated team of engineering professionals in a collaborative multidiscipline office and to provide direct client consulting services.
Responsibilities- Perform the following functions:
- Design of electrical systems
- Manage and design multiple concurrent projects
- Lead design team efforts
- Manage project team for budget and schedule control
- Develop fee and qualification-based proposals
- Collaborate with architects, owners, and general contractors as part of a multidiscipline team
- Support marketing/business development activities
- Travel as required
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.S) in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering (required)
- 10 to 15 years of experience
- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit
- Experience with SKM, ETAP, or similar electrical modeling software
- Knowledge of electrical/energy codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, NESC, IESNA, IECC, etc.)
- Project Management experience and/or certifications is a plus
- Desire to lead inter-disciplinary projects and project teams
- Local AHJ experience and relationships is a plus
- Active local industry involvement is a plus
- Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate
- Competitive end of year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance
