Overview
Amazon is seeking a Mechanical or Electrical Integration Lead to drive the successful installation, integration, and deployment of automation and material handling systems across multiple facilities. This role provides mechanical engineering expertise in complex automation environments, ensuring projects meet Amazon’s safety, timeline, cost, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead installation crews deploying material handling equipment across North American facilities.
- Lead delivery of complex projects with multi‑site impact.
- Provide technical expertise for automation initiatives across assigned sites.
- Implement technical solutions and lead project‑level decisions.
- Follow and help develop technical standards and best practices.
- Work cross‑functionally with engineering, supply chain, and operations teams.
- Participate in technical reviews and drive engineering excellence.
- Implement scalable solutions across assigned facilities.
- Recommend and implement process improvements.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Drive achievement of safety, timeline, cost, and quality metrics.
- Provide technical input to leadership for decision‑making.
- Manage relationships with vendors and partners.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience in engineering including a supervisory role managing people.
- Experience in a fast‑paced, automated, industrial, logistics, production or manufacturing environment.
- 5+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to travel up to 50% domestically.
- 10+ years of OEM experience in MIL/EIL scope may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
- Experience with automated equipment including packaging machinery, sortation and conveyor systems.
- Experience in preventative maintenance systems.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL at the intermediate level.
- Experience working with and managing third‑party vendors.
- Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing.

The base salary range for this position is $91,800.00 – $ USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
