Overview
Bio‑Rad is seeking a Field Service Engineer based in the Atlanta, GA area to perform repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance on our Life Science instruments for customers in hospitals and laboratories. The engineer may also be asked to travel on short notice to support other team members within the region.
Responsibilities- Perform repairs, upgrades, and preventative maintenance on Bio‑Rad instruments, ensuring their quality performance for customers advancing healthcare.
- Support and maintain the instruments that customers rely on for scientific breakthroughs.
- Build and sustain strong relationships to anticipate and advocate for customer needs.
- Adhere to FDA and GMP regulations and requirements, keeping detailed record‑keeping and service documentation to protect Bio‑Rad's integrity.
- 1‑3 years of transferable field service experience servicing electro‑mechanical/electronic/optical/robotics equipment and an A.S. or B.S. in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering (or related field or military equivalent).
- Ability to read, understand, and follow medium to highly complex work instructions.
- Strong electro‑mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Strong computer skills and fundamental knowledge of computer networking.
- Strong customer‑relation and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Flexibility and enthusiasm for daily travel.
- Hands‑on experience with Diagnostic or Life Science instruments.
This position covers the Atlanta, GA area. The incumbent must live within a geography that allows daily on‑site visits to customers.

CompensationThe estimated base salary range is $64,900 to $97,300. Actual compensation will be provided at the time of offer and is based on factors such as geographic location, experience, knowledge, and performance. The position is eligible for a variable annual bonus tied to individual objectives and company performance.
