Project Engineer - Water
Location:
Atlanta, Georgia
Garver is seeking a Project Engineer in Atlanta, GA to join our established Georgia Water team. You will be led by a Project Manager and work with multi‑discipline design engineers and CAD technicians to deliver design‑phase deliverables such as reports, technical memoranda, design manuals, plans, sections, details, and specifications. You will work closely with clients to exceed their expectations.
Responsibilities- Engineering calculations and detailed design for water distribution, including pumping and storage.
- Engineering calculations and detailed design for sewer collection, including pumping.
- Engineering calculations and detailed design for water and wastewater treatment plants.
- Engineering calculations and detailed design for improvements and retrofitting of existing treatment facilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, biological, or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited program;
Registered as an Engineer Intern (EI). - 4+ years of experience in water & wastewater.
- Previous internship experience related to design of water/wastewater systems.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.
- Master’s degree in civil, biological, or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- AutoCAD experience.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer or ability to become a registered PE within 6 months of hire.
- Experience in study, design, and construction administration of water and wastewater facilities and systems.
