• Minimum of 20 years' experience in project management in design and construction environment
• OR BA/BS Degree in Engineering (Structural, Electrical, Mechanical, Architectural, Civil, Environmental), Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Construction Management
• Professional license appropriate for discipline (engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, etc.)
• Experience in managing A/E projects from design through construction
• Proficiency with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, MS Outlook

• Support the Southeast Regional Office with project management assistance for storm recovery efforts involving repair, replacement, and hardening of park facilities, including archaeological, historical, and traditional cultural properties.
• Provide assistance to multiple parks with disaster recovery as needed and time allows.
• Serve as an Engineering Advisor under the direction of the Southeast Regional Office Storm Recovery Program Manager.
• Initiate, establish, guide, and control multiple design/construction projects from contracting through completion (projects may be up to $5 million).
• Review damage assessment documents and assess site challenges to confirm approach and requirements for repairing, replacing, hardening, or creating a new alternative.
• Develop plans, specifications, and estimates for facility repair projects to be executed with day labor or contracted out.
• Support development of PMIS projects, investment review documents, monthly updates on progress and milestone schedules, and coordinate with Park staff on compliance completion.
• Prepare spend plans and allocation requests, track and document all costs associated with projects.
• Host routine project-specific meetings with regional staff and parks; communicate with contracting and regional staff to ensure packages are complete for submission.

• Travel requirements: 5 to 12 trips over 52 weeks.
• Overnight travel: 5 to 12 trips over 52 weeks.
• Air travel anticipated: 5 to 12 three to five day trips.

• Review appropriate Job Hazard Analyses for defensive driving, field work, work on construction sites, etc.
• Required safety gear: PPE such as hard hats, construction yellow vests, work boots, protective clothing; radio may be provided for site visits.
