Job Overview

Electrical Optimization Engineer

We are committed to creating better care for a better world. As an Electrical Optimization Engineer you will help drive continuous improvement, create order from complexity, and ensure every product, process, and partnership flows with precision and purpose.

Job Responsibilities
  • Work as part of the Value Stream Engineering Optimization Team.
  • Support converting and manufacturing activities across all Family Care.
  • Assist Asset Operating teams to return assets to target results in the event of escalation.
  • Drive the development and execution of overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) plans for assets.
  • Coordinate and lead targeted onsite action plans.
  • Provide hands‑on assistance to onsite teams and maintain significant presence at the tissue manufacturing mills.
  • Support and implement strategy deployment process for capacity and capability liberation supporting the Towel & Wiper OEE Strategy, Supply Chain Priority Initiatives, and Cost Transformation requirements.
  • Provide electrical and controls related solutions to sector‑wide initiatives that improve Supply Chain OEE.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including R&D, Supply Chain, mill operations, procurement, equipment suppliers and external service providers.
  • Partner with mill teams keeping a customer‑focused mindset.
  • Maintain and grow technical and scientific expertise in industrial software, drives, and controls.
  • Communicate impact of developments on Kimberly‑Clark processes.
  • Implement documentation and reporting of unit work as required by Kimberly‑Clark policy, effective communication, protection of proprietary information, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide leadership by example in corporate safety, quality, regulatory, product safety and sustainability.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
  • Strong fundamentals in engineering systems and tools.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a cross‑functional team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to contribute to a technical team and projects that successfully meet business objectives.
  • Must be able or willing to travel 50% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Co‑op or internship experience in a technical field.
  • Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming experience.

Location & Compensation

Primary location:
Roswell Building 300. Additional locations:
Beech Island Mill, Corinth Mill, KC Prof Products, Jenks Mill, Loudon Mill, Marinette Mill, Mobile Mill, Neenah – West Office, Facility 1, Owensboro Mill.

Salary Range: $79,880 – $94,440 USD (United States only). Additional pay may vary based on location, role, skills, performance, and experience.

Other Important Information

This role is available for local candidates already authorized to work in the role’s country. Kimberly‑Clark will not provide relocation support.
