In this role, you’ll help shape the future and improve lives for billions of people around the world. This is a pivotal role that touches every product KCP takes to market, working with customers in category/platform management. You will be responsible for managing the packaging development for new and existing products.
Job Responsibilities- Deliver innovative, cost‑effective packaging solutions that minimize cost, add value for the customer, and advance sustainability for KC and stakeholders.
- Oversee and manage the complete packaging development process, including design, prototype development, and performance testing.
- Continuously improve the capability of existing KCP packaging and equipment to better meet customer and end‑user requirements.
- Recommend and lead packaging development programs that reduce damage or provide competitive advantage.
- Identify and implement cost‑saving initiatives related to packaging materials, labor, efficiency, transportation, and storage.
- Establish and maintain relationships with packaging suppliers, staying up to date on packaging and equipment developments.
- Understand and communicate the impact of relevant regional legislation.
- Develop and maintain packaging specifications and standards supporting the production and manufacturing of KCP products.
- Bachelor’s degree in packaging, engineering, business, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of related experience.
- Computer skills with CAPE, TOPS, Artios
CAD, Microsoft Word and Excel (required). - General understanding of material suppliers’ manufacturing processes.
- Ability to design corrugated, carton board, paper wrap, and film structures.
- Demonstrated team‑oriented performance.
- Understanding of correlation between final art and package design.
- Aware of applicable packaging laws and regulations.
- Expected travel approximately 10%.

Salary & CompensationSalary range: $87,260 – $107,780 USD for U.S. locations. Actual pay depends on location, role, skills, performance, and experience. This position offers eligibility for a target bonus and includes a 401(k) and profit‑sharing plan.
