As a Co-op, you will be part of the team from day one and given training and tasks that are important and impactful to our projects' success.
You will gain an understanding oftheimportance of TAB in the construction industry and energy efficiency of building systems.
Success in this role depends on the Co-op’s initiative and teamwork skills.
A successful
Co-op willgain practical experience in estimating project costs, creating budgets, and applying key industry standards such as ASHRAE and NEBB.
McKenney's has a long history of success in hiring Co-ops and supporting their evolution into industry leaders. Many of our current senior leaders began their journey in the Co-op program.
Responsibilities- Assist
TABproject management with estimates,RFIs,and project quotes and proposals. - Assistinthecreation ofproject documentation—including reportsandtest forms.
- Develop or revise CAD drawings and schematics to supportaccuratefield execution.
- Analyze field data for performance verification.
- Properlymaintainopportunities in Salesforce.
- Communicate directly with customers to ensure proposals are received on time.
- Read and interpret project mechanical drawings, specifications, and equipment performance data todetermineproper balancing techniques and project management approaches.
- Participate in regularjobsite visits and ensure feedback is provided to team members and supervisors.
- Students must be enrolled in aCo-op program at an accredited engineering school majoring in Construction Management, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related major.
- Candidates must be able to complete at least three full-time Co-op rotations prior to graduation.
- Must have basic PC experience in Windows environments, working knowledge of Word, Excel, Web-enabled applications, and database software

- Ability to use time productively.
- Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently as well as within a team.
- Maintaina strong attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication across multidisciplinary teams (e.g., Project Managers, field staff, drafting).
- Strong reasoning, math, science, and technical skills.
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office environment.
- No or limited exposure to physical risk; occasional jobsite visitsmayrequire climbingpermanent and temporary stairs/ladders, passenger use of hoists,and navigatingactiveconstructionareas.
- Light physical effort handling average weight objects up to 50 pounds may berequiredoccasionally.
