Senior Mechanical Engineer - MEP

Stillpoint Talent Group is partnering with a respected and growing MEP consulting engineering firm on a confidential search for a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Atlanta. This is a permanent, full‑time opportunity with a firm that has built a strong reputation for delivering high‑quality mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and technology engineering solutions across a diverse range of project types.

• Lead the design and coordination of HVAC and plumbing systems for healthcare, education, commercial, municipal, and institutional facilities
• Perform engineering calculations including load analysis, equipment sizing, ventilation calculations, and energy evaluation
• Develop and oversee construction documents including plans, specifications, schedules, and technical reports
• Coordinate with architects, owners, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout project delivery
• Serve as a technical mentor and resource for junior engineers and designers
• Participate in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and client communication activities
• Review engineering designs for quality, accuracy, constructability, and code compliance
• Support projects through construction administration including RFIs, submittal reviews, field observations, and project coordination
• Assist with proposal development, business development initiatives, and client relationship management efforts
• Contribute to the continued growth and success of the local engineering team

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required
• 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering within an MEP consulting environment preferred; strong non‑licensed candidates with demonstrated technical expertise, career stability, and consulting engineering experience will be considered
• Strong experience designing HVAC and plumbing systems for healthcare, higher education, K‑12, commercial, municipal, or institutional projects
• Proficiency with Revit and industry‑standard mechanical design software
• Strong understanding of ASHRAE standards, mechanical codes, and energy regulations
• Experience leading projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication, organizational, and client‑facing skills
• Strong technical problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to mentor and support junior engineering staff
