Quality Coordinator (Electronics Manufacturing)
Location: Atlanta, GA | Position Code: 62

Salary: $85,000+ per annum
The OpportunityWe are seeking a highly technical and strategic Quality Coordinator to lead a multidisciplinary team of Quality Engineers, Floor Support, and Metrology specialists. This pivotal leadership role within a Tier 1 Automotive/Electronics environment is responsible for the integrity of the Quality Management System (QMS) and cultivating a high-performance quality culture.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and mentor a team of Quality Engineers and technicians, ensuring alignment with site and corporate quality objectives.
- Exercise authority to stop production if quality standards are not met to protect the customer and the brand.
- Lead the implementation and maintenance of IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 and coordinate all internal/external audits.
- Act as the primary point of contact for quality disputes, manage non-conformities, conduct 8D analysis, and corrective actions.
- Monitor and report key indicators including PPM, Scrap Cost, Rework, and FPY (First Pass Yield) using corporate methodologies.
- Design and coordinate training on Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, MSA) and IPC/ESD standards.
- Ensure compliance with local environmental requirements and contribute ESG data to corporate systems.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electronic, Mechatronic, or Chemical). - Experience:
6–10 years as a Quality Engineer in Electronics Manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a leadership/coordinating role. - Sector Expertise:
Experience in Tier 1 Automotive is preferred;
Aerospace or Medical backgrounds also highly valued. - Audit Mastery:
Proven experience conducting/participating in ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 audits (VDA 6.3 or ISO 14001 additional plus). - Electronics Proficiency:
Working knowledge of IPC-A-610, ESD standards, and PCN/PTN/RMA processes. - Core Tools:
Expert-level command of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, MSA.
