The Hangar Demand Planning (HDP) team is seeking a highly motivated Project Leader to support the building and execution of hangar maintenance packages for hangar visits ranging from Special Visits up to letter check visits. The Project Leader will work cross departmentally to support initiatives set forth by the Hangar Demand Planning leadership team to ensure successful hangar maintenance visits. The Project Leader also works closely with Line Demand Planning, Fleet Projects, Tooling, Materials, Engineering, Aircraft Routing, and Airframe Maintenance to ensure all maintenance is complied with on their respective fleet.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Serve as the primary subject matter expert for all Hangar Maintenance Planning activities for the assigned fleet, providing authoritative guidance with minimal oversight.
- Lead the integration and continuous optimization of the maintenance program, engineering projects, and log page requirements to deliver an efficient and executable hangar plan.
- The Project Leader is responsible for the end-to-end planning and coordination of all hangar maintenance visits on their assigned fleet, proactively adjusting the work scope in response to evolving fleet requirements, material availability, as well as engineering and operational updates.
- The Project Leader will collaborate closely with the Hangar Demand Planning Strategy team to ensure AA projects are properly scheduled, prioritized, and aligned with accomplishment plans and regulatory requirements.
- The Project Leader will conduct comprehensive technical reviews of work cards, life limited monitors, aircraft manuals, and historical records to validate labor estimates, task requirements, ground time needed, and resource allocation for both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance visits.
- The Project Leader will partner with Line Demand Planning to mitigate risk of unscheduled AOS events and maintain alignment between Line and Hangar maintenance workloads.
- The Project Leader will apply advanced analytical skills to evaluate long‑term maintenance capacity, fleet strategy impacts, and program changes, independently developing data‑driven recommendations that enhance hangar efficiency and operational reliability.
- Independently drive complex planning initiatives by anticipating operational impacts, identifying cross‑functional dependencies, and implementing proactive solutions without the need for routine direction.
- Consistently demonstrate ownership of outcomes by managing competing priorities, resolving planning conflicts, and ensuring execution readiness across all stakeholders with minimal oversight.
- Position may require working second shift, rotating days off, and/or weekends.
- This position reports to the Manager - Hangar Demand Planning.
